As biology teachers we have always been interested in observing the variety of ecosystems found throughout the world. The African Savanna found in East Africa, has a unique variety of animals. Between 1982 and 1993 we visited the African continent three times and had the opportunity to tour Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. I even had the chance to climb Mt Kilimanjaro, saw the glacial fields at the equator and reached the summit of Africa at 18,800'!
